Congratulations on graduating from the Power of Parenting Program at Families First! As Power of Parenting alumni, you have access to our alumni benefits, which are listed below. Families First is committed to providing new spaces to connect and support our alumni!

Stay Connected

• Alumni Portal: The alumni portal, located here on the Families First website, contains program materials and information you can review, as well as activities you can try at home with your child.
  • Steps to access the Alumni Portal:  
    • Visit the alumni portal & register 
    • After you have been approved, login
    • Once logged in, click the menu at the top, navigate to ‘for parents,’ then to ‘alumni portal.’ From there, choose the language you want to view the portal in.
• Alumni Facebook Group: A private group for Power of Parenting Alumni only. Keep in touch, participate in community polls, and receive parenting information and tips.

• Virtual Alumni Workshops: To build upon additional parenting knowledge and connect with other alumni. Workshop information will be announced closer to the events.
• Newsletters: Featuring alumni highlights, parent resources, up-to-date event information, and more. This will be sent out by email and text message.  

Resources

• Boston Basics text messaging: Alumni with children from birth to age 5 can sign up to receive daily texts with parenting tips here
• An assessment to support your child’s healthy development (Ages and Stages Questionnaire or ASQ): Parents of children birth to age 5 ½ can sign up to be contacted by one of Families First’s Parent Screeners to complete the assessment.

• Professional Attire
  • Dress for Success (resource for women only): If eligible, Families First Power of Parenting participants can receive up to two outfits from Dress for Success. **Alumni are eligible for a second suiting if they get a job or already have one that they need professional attire for.

  • Suits and Smiles (resource for men only): Suits and Smiles (Eastern MA) provides professional attire for men.
