Maritza Martinez brings 30 years plus, working as an educator in literacy-based curriculum practices and family engagement specialist, coordinator of community literacy and family engagement specialist. Maritza has worked with parents and their children, across diverse communities to empower them for school readiness and life skill readiness. Maritza brings her skills to Families First as a professional who has earned a bachelor’s degree in Community Engagement, a Masters in Elementary Education and certificates in social emotional development in young children and special education curriculum practices in and out of the classroom. My favorite hobbies are cooking and spending time with my grandchildren and my faith-based community members. Maritza is looking forward to continuing the journey with Families First, working with parents to encourage their children to thrive in all areas between home, school and their community.
