“If we want to make an impact in young children and in families, we have to start in the home by showing love and respect for others and yourself. And if you are able to give even something small back to society, that is the strongest tool you can use to make it happen.”

Carolina was born and raised in Colombia, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from San Buenaventura University in Medellin (CED). As part of her experience, she worked in Venancio Díaz Hospital from 2005 to 2007 doing clinical interventions and was also in charge of running the growing evaluation program for children. At the same time, she was able to run different workshops for expecting mothers and their families. From 2007 to 2009, she had the opportunity to work at Clínica Las Americas Hospital as Industrial/Organizational Psychologist, where she was in charge of conducting the initial interviews and skills exams to applicants in different areas. From 2008 to 2009, she decided to become an independent clinician and rented her own office along with mentors, teachers, and other colleagues until March of 2009. During this time, she also volunteered with FIDES, an organization that focuses on children with special needs, from 2004 to 2008.
In 2009, Carolina decided to come to the United States as an au pair, and from then on, she has worked with young children and their families.
In 2019, Carolina took the Power of Parenting program with Families First and was invited to be a parent leader,doing outreach, providing childcare, and translating materials for workshops. During this time, she also worked as a Parent Partner at East Boston Family Engagement Network and East Boston Social Centers. In her role, she conducted ASQ ES evaluations and Welcome Baby visits, co-led play groups, and reached out to the East Boston community.
Carolina is a happy mother, loving wife, and a proud immigrant. She has two children, ages 5 and 8. She strongly believes that her passion for working with different communities and backgrounds ensures her commitment to supporting and helping others in different circumstances. As a mother, she understands the impact that we make in our children’s lives.
