Eva May Ramírez was born and raised in the Dominican Republic, where she graduated and obtained a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) in Santo Domingo. She is a mother and wife, with two children — Elha Peña and Ethan Peña.
In 2015, she moved to the US. Then in 2018, she was invited to the Power of Parenting program, where she became a Parent Leader. She enjoyed this role, as she loves working with people and creating a community within the program. She liked this role so much that she decided to continue working and training to continue supporting and helping parents and immigrants like her.
In 2019, she trained in the Parent Leadership Academy (now the Parent Leadership Program) to be able to work as a Leadership Ambassador for Families First. In this position, Eva recruits parents for the programs offered by Families First. Additionally, she also trained to be a Parent Screener to administer the Ages and Stages Questionnaire, which helps parents know which stage of development their children are in and connects them with the resources they need.
In 2021, Eva trained to be an Outreach Ambassador with Families First, where she works connecting more parents to the program, bringing information to the communities of the importance of parenting. She enjoys doing this work so that parents are able to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills, and support to be able to provide a strong upbringing to their children. When this happens, children will be good people and exemplary citizens in the future.
