Working with children and strengthening families has been Madeleine’s passion throughout her career. She came to Families First in 2002 as a volunteer in the Program Department and was hired as Program Associate in 2006, followed by her role as Program Coordinator, scheduling and coordinating programs with Families First’s transitional housing and early childhood education partner organizations.
Currently, as a Partner Relationship Manager, Madeleine is responsible for overseeing and successfully ensuring the success of several Power of Parenting programs held in partnership with cornerstone partner organizations. She supports and works closely with Parenting Educators while also engaging in outreach and relationship-building with new and existing partners.
Madeleine has a BA in Elementary Education from Marylhurst University in Oregon and is an Early Childhood and Infant & Toddler Certified Montessori educator. During her tenure at the Cambridge Montessori School, Madeleine worked as a Primary and Toddler Lead Teacher and as Director of Admissions. She led a Parenting Education Program, and she later served as a trustee.
Currently, Madeleine serves on an Advisory Board for reproductive health equity for women of African descent, teaches yoga, and enjoys her new role as a grandparent to Cody Alexander.
