Pamelia Bailey has been on a professional and personal mission of nurturing healthy family relationships for 30 years. In her current role as a School Support Team Liaison in the Boston Public Schools’ (BPS) Office of Engagement, she provides guidance and coaching on implementing effective student and family engagement practices for 30 schools.
In addition to her full-time work with BPS, Ms. Bailey has been a Parenting Educator for Families First for 20 years. During her decades of service with the organization, she has facilitated hundreds of parent and professional parent/child development workshops throughout the state of Massachusetts.
Ms. Bailey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services with a specialization in counseling from Lesley University. She received her Master of Social Work degree with a certificate in Organizational Leadership from Wheelock College. Currently, she is also a member of the 2016 summer cohort of the Education Pioneers Fellowship.
Ms. Bailey is the proud mother of three young adult sons: United States Marine Lance Corporal Brodrick Bailey, recent Becker College graduate Austin Bailey, and up-and-coming singer, producer, and songwriter Aren Bailey.
