Jennifer Kordell runs the global Human Capital department at Charles River Associates, overseeing recruiting, training and development, benefits, and employee relations. Prior to this role, she held responsibility for firm-wide learning and development as well as senior-level recruiting. She also served as operations director, working with corporate and practice leadership on strategy and management information reporting.
From her extensive experience in human resources and talent development, Jennifer has seen that adults learn best when they have training that is delivered over time, that is highly interactive, and that allows them to practice new skills in between more formal sessions. She has also seen that new skills “stick” better when the environment is supportive of those new skills.
Jennifer believes that Families First’s model of parenting support and education is at the leading edge of adult learning theory and ensures that the organization is truly driving improved outcomes in how parents interact with and relate to their children.
Jennifer has been involved with Families First since 2009, and she joined the board in 2011. She has served as Board Chair since 2013. Jennifer received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Amherst College and a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School.
“As a mom, I am blessed with wonderful resources yet still find it daunting to juggle home, work, and family. Families First’s mission resonated with me right from the start and I am motivated to bring parenting support to those who need it the most.”
