“Families First is committed to meeting parents where they are and empowering parents to support their children’s growth. I’m excited to work with an organization that values and uplifts parents’ voices.”

Karen joined Families First in September 2018. Before joining Families First, she worked as a Research Assistant at the Center for Social Development and Education, where she evaluated a school-based Special Olympics program dedicated to promoting social inclusion of students with intellectual disabilities.
As the Evaluation & Database Manager, Karen manages the day-to-day evaluation efforts at Families First. Karen hopes to use evaluation to capture how families benefit from our programming and to identify areas for continuous improvement so that Families First can continue to serve our families well.
Karen received a B.A. in Psychology from Denison University. At Denison, she was involved in research related to postpartum depression, learning disabilities, and academic intervention programming.
