Raising Sons: Making Sure Boys Get What They Need

There are many ways to be a boy and to be a man. In today’s society, this is not always supported or encouraged. This workshop explores the unique joys and challenges of raising sons and helps parents meet the needs that boys present, from getting much needed physical activity to having safe places to express strong emotions. Participants will leave with a knowledge of the development of boys and patterns that boys tend to follow as they grow. They will also gain strategies for advocating for the needs of their sons and building strong parent-child relationships.
