Families First Professional Trainings

We combine parenting workshops with professional trainings so that site personnel can continue to reinforce positive parenting practices on a daily basis.  Over the past several years, the demand for these professional trainings has greatly increased, and our partner sites add value to their existing programs by enhancing their capacity to serve families.

Our Approach

To broaden and sustain the impact of our parenting education workshops, we conduct trainings for the professionals who regularly work with families. These include teachers, child care providers, case managers, and health care workers. Our trainings include strategies for collaborating with parents and also ensure that our participants learn how to form supportive, professional networks.

Our Objective

We provide professional training programs to those who work with parents and children so that they may:

  • Gain important information about child health and development
  • Better identify the needs of the children and parents with whom they work
  • Learn strategies for collaborating with parents to meet their needs and the needs of their child
  • Form relationships with other professionals so that they may support each other in their efforts to serve families
