Helping Children Express and Manage Their Anger


Category: Universal Parenting Issue
Age range: ages 5-18

Anger is a normal and unavoidable part of growing up. It can also be one of the most difficult emotions for parents to handle as children often act out their anger through misbehavior. This session helps parents understand typical anger triggers and responses in children. Strategies for helping children express their anger in healthy and productive ways are shared, as are appropriate responses for parents to use when their children become frustrated or angry.
