Families First Receives Garth Brooks Teammates for Kids Foundation Grant

Funds to benefit children in areas of health, education, and inner city needs.

Families First Parenting Programs, an innovator in the field of parenting education, today announced the receipt of a $15,000 grant from the Garth Brooks Teammates for Kids Foundation.  This money will be used to fund Families First’s parenting education programs throughout Massachusetts.

“This grant will help Families First continue to strengthen families and support parents in Massachusetts” said Crista Martinez, Executive Director of Families First. “The demands placed on today’s parents are ever-increasing and children are feeling the negative impact of these stresses and burdens.  Our interactive workshops and innovative programs help parents build the skills and knowledge to better connect with their children.”

“Our goal at the Teammates For Kids Foundation is to identify outstanding organizations delivering excellent services to children needing a helping hand.  Our review process concentrates on value, leadership and results.  We have found “Families First” to be an outstanding organization delivering valuable services to children and their families.  We are honored to be “Teammates” with “Families First” said Dudley “Bo” Mitchell, President and Co-Founder of the Teammates for Kids Foundation.

The Garth Brooks Teammates for Kids Foundation will recognize Families First along with other “Teammates” on Friday, September 17th at the Second Annual Charity Auction to be held at the Charles River Country Club in Newton, Massachusetts.  For more information about the event, visit www.teammates4kids.org
