Lilly Marcelin has been
involved in the areas of violence against women movement, family advocacy,
immigrant rights, and human trafficking for over two decades. Born in Haiti, she left her country at the age of 13
to attend Secondary school in Montreal
in 1974. She has been living in the US since 1978.
She is a founding member
and Associate Director of Trafficking Victims Outreach and Services (TVOS)
network/Matahari: Eye of the Day--an organization that provides advocacy,
offers critical analysis and community education and works toward the rights
and empowerment of immigrants and communities of color in the US.
She is also working with
Families First as a Parenting Educator and Outreach Worker for the Haitian
community. Lilly has extensive experience on Violence Prevention and Safety
Care, Immigrant Rights, Modern Day Slavery, Racism,
anti-oppression and community organizing and empowerment.
