Families First Welcomes New
Executive Director!
Elizabeth (Liz) Cohen joined Families First on January 17, 2012, as its third Executive Director. Liz has over fourteen years of experience in non-profits focused on a variety of public health and family support concerns. “We are delighted to welcome Liz Cohen,” said Leslie Zients Pucker, chair of Families First’s Board of Directors.
“Liz’s passion for Families First’s mission, in combination with her extensive experience in curriculum design, program and grants management, community partnership-building, and organizational management, makes her a terrific choice as leader. Her skill set is a very good fit for Families First. We look forward to Liz’s leadership, and we’re confident that she will be the catalyst for a period of growth and expanded impact.”
Liz Cohen’s work in the non-profit sector includes her tenure as Executive Director of Rape Crisis Services of Greater Lowell, where she demonstrated success in board development and fundraising. Her previous work also includes directing health initiatives for the WGBH Education Foundation, and she most recently managed training programs at the Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts.
Liz has a degree in Clinical Psychology and Child Development from Tufts University and a Master of Public Health from the Boston University School of Public Health.
Liz is the proud mother of a toddler.
