2012 Boston Marathon
We are thrilled to support our 2012 Marathon Team! Please congratulate Matthew Annunziata and Martha Lurie!
For the sixth year in a row, Families First was selected as an official charity for the Boston Marathon, in partnership with the John Hancock Non-Profit Program. Thanks to John Hancock Financial Services, the lead sponsor of the Boston Marathon, supporters of the Families First team have raised more than $90,000 to benefit parenting education programs for families in Massachusetts. In 2012, Team Families First aims to raise $10,000.
On Monday, April 16, Matthew and Martha completed the Boston Marathon. It was the 116th running of this fabled event. The steps that Families First runners took into the heart of the city not only raised money to strengthen local families but also symbolize the courage it takes to find support and build a strong family.
